The worst kind of story this side of hell
The worst thing to happen to our little town
The one and only pub it shut down

Now old Mr. Joyce, a bachelor by choice
Was sick of the sound of his own voice
So in his house there was nary a sound
Save for his crying ‘cause the pub was shut down
